Job Description: This position is located in the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Office of Law Enforcement, Pacific Islands Division, with one vacancy in Honolulu, HI; Pago Pago, AS; and MongMong, Guam. Job Responsibilities: Serve as an Enforcement Officer deterring and detecting violations of National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) statutes by conducting visible, uniformed patrols and investigations within the officer’s assigned area of responsibility. Board commercial and recreational fishing vessels in port or from patrol vessels at sea, and conduct investigations of alleged violations under NOAA’s jurisdiction. Inspect shipments of marine resource products entering the United States at ports of entry (e.g., border crossings, airports and harbors) for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Investigate and document all apparent violations of NOAA statutes detected during the course of patrols and collect, identify and preserve evidence (including witness statements) associated with any violation, and assemble and complete investigative case reports and case packages. Conduct arrest, searches and seizures in accordance with the S. Constitution, pertinent laws, regulations, court decisions, and agency policies. Comply with all existing policies, procedures and guidelines (including the use of force policy) pertaining to carry, use, display, safety, and maintenance of firearms and intermediate Job Requirements: Must be a U.S. Citizen or National to apply.
