In this position, you will serve as a dental assistant performing a variety of supportive technical and expanded function duties in the delivery of dental treatment to authorized beneficiaries. Job Responsibilities: Performs chair side dental assisting duties. Performs expanded function dental assistant duties. Performs a variety of administrative duties related to dental activities. Performs general dental infection control and safety procedures. Job Requirements: Knowledge of dental terminology and administrative requirements for proper record keeping procedures to maintain patient dental health records, and patient scheduling. Skill in operating and adjusting dental radiographic equipment in accordance with accepted radiation safety standards and processing dental radiographs. Skill and dexterity in manipulating a variety of instruments and equipment while performing dental assistant procedures. Knowledge of dental science such as oral anatomy, oral physiology and histology, the principles and techniques of dental assisting, and dental instruments and materials. Knowledge of sterilization techniques sufficient to sterilize dental instruments and equipment. US Citizenship is required Must acquire and maintain certification in Basic Life Support.
