Job Description: The Agency for Persons with Disabilities works in partnership with local communities to support people with developmental disabilities in living, learning, and working in their communities. APD provides critical services and supports for customers with developmental disabilities to reach their full potential. The Agency serves people with spina bifida, autism, Down syndrome, children age 3-5 at high risk of developmental disabilities, cerebral palsy, Prader-Willi syndrome, Phelan-McDermid syndrome, and intellectual disabilities. There is no charge or co-payment for services provided through the Agency. This is a professional position responsible for all activities associated with the training of APD provider applicants, training existing providers for the iBudget Developmental Disabilities Home and Community-Based Waiver program and APD employees. Provide training opportunities and technical assistance for iConnect. At times in conjunction with the State Office iConnect trainer schedule trainings, maintain training calendar, schedule training room or electronic format, maintain attendance records and provide certificates to successful trainees. Provide training and technical assistance to APD employees. Job Responsibilities: Identify internal and external training programs to address competency gaps Partner with internal and external stakeholders regarding employee training needs Organize, develop or source training programs to meet specific training needs Provide train-the-trainer sessions for internal subject matter experts Liaise with subject matter experts regarding instructional design Develop training aids such as manuals and handbooks Map out training plans for new software deployment Present training programs using recognized training techniques and tools Facilitate learning through a variety of delivery methods including classroom instruction, virtual training, on-the-job coaching Design and apply assessment tools to measure training effectiveness Track and report on training outcomes Provide feedback to program participants and management Evaluate and make recommendations on training material and methodology Handle logistics for training activities including venues and equipment Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment Job Requirements: Open Competitive opportunity- Any applicant who meets the minimum requirements of the position.
