Job Description: Instructor - Part time position available to teach non-tenure track Master's level course in Clinical Pharmacology for the Physician Assistant Program at MSU-Meridian. Applicant is sought to teach a 4-credit Pharmacology course that spans one semester. Schedule will include teaching one of two days a week, plus assessing students, reviewing student work, and providing feedback. This individual will collaborate with other members of the PA Program faculty. If an interview is extended, a teaching demonstration will be required. Job Responsibilities: Qualified through academic preparation and/or experience to teach Pharmacology Classroom or clinical teaching experience is preferred Recent practical expertise is required Familiarity with Physician Assistant scope of practice and ability-based curriculum is a plus Development, delivery and assessment of current, objective-driven course material Student performance evaluation Early identification of students struggling to achieve course and program learning outcomes Development and implementation of remediation plans and early intervention plans of action Successful candidates will have a demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion, and multicultural competence in an educational and work environment and must be willing to contribute to the College's strategic plan of inclusion. Job Requirements: Master's degree required Qualified through academic preparation (advanced degree or other academic background) and/or experience to teach Clinical Pharmacology at the Master's degree level Ability to be an effective educator (a teaching demonstration will be required) Successful official on-campus interview Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to maintain confidentiality Represent the PA Program in a professional manner Commitment to student success ABDs or degree pending considered (all but DISS):Yes Doctor of Pharmacy is preferred Experience in course, curriculum, and program development and assessment Experience with accreditation Prior experience teaching in a PA Program or another medical professional program Working knowledge if Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher) Strong organizational and planning skills Experience with Office 365 and Outlook Working knowledge of Learning Management Systems (E-Medley) Working knowledge of Student Management Systems (Banner)Knowledge, Skills, and This position requires the individual to teach Pharmacology on a Master's level of instruction.
