Job Description:

Responsible for performing Human Resources (HR) Operations day-to-day duties and managing the administration of key HR programs and procedures. Responsibilities in the following functional areas: HR administration, Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion, Ethics, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, and recruitment support.Through effective communication and collaboration, works across all departments and at all levels to foster an environment where members consistently exhibit our Values & Beliefs, particularly those of Respect, Achieve Together, Shared Trust, and Value Diversity & Inclusion.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Administers and communicates various HR plans and procedures.
  • Works in partnership with strategic business partners to facilitate business unit HR needs.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with appropriate HR members and external vendors to ensure complete, accurate data transfer from each system to prepare
  • Affirmative Action Program (AAP), HR compliance requests, Ethics Reports, and/or other HR-related regulatory reports.
  • Conducts employee relations investigations, counseling, terminations, and exit interviews.
  • May require assistance with more complex, job-related issues.
  • Recommends continued improvement ideas (e.g., new approaches, policies and/or procedures) that positively impact HR’s efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Establishes and maintains an on-going knowledge base for HR practices and key trends.
  • Partners with HR COE’s (Centers of Excellence) to ensure the organization meets governmental compliance standards (Affirmative Action, EEO, FMLA, FLSA, etc).
  • Coordinate data preparation activities and ensures timely submission of reports and data requests (e.g., OFCCP, EEO-1, VETS-4212, Ethics).
  • Coordinates member recognition programs such as storm awards, cash awards, etc.
  • Maintains the highest degree of confidentiality and professional discretion.
  • Conduct periodic HR audits to ensure compliance with EEO/Affirmative Action (AA) requirements.

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED And 4 years HR Generalist experience ~OR~
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, And 2 years HR Generalist experience ~OR~
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field, And 3 years of HR Generalist experience.
  • Valid State Driver’s License.
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP preferred.
  • Experience conducting internal investigations.
  • Experience gathering and analyzing data to develop Affirmative Action/EEO programs, diversity hiring and fair employment practices, experience creating action plans, and working closely with business leaders and HR partners to implement the action plans.
  • Advance excel skills and knowledge of common software programs
  • Working knowledge of Human Resource disciplines, including staffing, employee development, compensation, benefits, employee relations, training, Affirmative Action, etc.
  • Ability to analyze and diagnose problems, develops alternative solutions, and recommend and implement an effective course of action.
  • Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal.
  • Ability to present to both large and small groups fostering an open, honest, and trusting environment.
  • Ability to facilitate and encourage participation from others, to convey essential information clearly and concisely, both in writing and verbally, and to actively listen while gathering information.
  • Ability to perform work with short deadlines and be able to handle sensitive, personal matters requiring discretion and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated strong customer service focus and skill.
