Job Responsibilities:

• The Geriatrics and Extended Care Assistant Nurse Manager is directly responsible to the Assistant Chief Nurse of Geriatrics and Extended Care and accepts direct oversight and leadership from Nurse Mangers for unit based tasks and assigned duties.
• The Assistant Nurse Manager will work off tours in the Community Living Center and Liberty Lane Hospice House.
• In conjunction with the GEC Nurse Managers, the Assistant Nurse Manager will collaborate with the NODs on the off tours. He/she is a registered nurse that demonstrates leadership, experience and creative approaches to management of complex patient care.
• Duties are split to include direct patient care assignments/duties and as a designated second- line leadership authority, responsibility and accountability for the 24/7 operations of their units, ensuring that subordinate personnel provide timely nursing care which complies with generally accepted standards of clinical practice.
